Sister folk trio Joseph announces a partnership with Flying Saucer Presents and the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall to present a special concert to assist victims of Hurricane Irma. The Hurricane Irma Relief benefit concert will be held on Monday, October 2 at 8:00 p.m. at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Admission to the event is free but donations in the form of canned food items or monetary donations are a key goal for the evening.

For those who can donate, the occasion represents a great opportunity to help local residents most severely affected by the Hurricane Irma. The hurricane brought ravaging winds and flooding that forced the displacement of thousands of people when it hit North Florida on September 11. For many, the process of recovery represents a monumental task. Help is needed! Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Social Services Division of the St. Johns County Health and Human Services Department which provides social support and assistance to needy members of the community. Following the devastation of Hurricane Irma, the St. Johns County Social Services Division finds itself, gravely, in need of contributions (both monetary and/or food items) to restock community food pantries which were depleted as a result of the storm.

It is the hope of the band and partners that patrons will generously provide food items and/or monetary donations. Attendees bringing non-perishable food items will be assisted and directed to appropriate collection containers which will be delivered the following day to the Social Services Division. Monetary donations will also be taken at the door.

The band behind the benefit concert is Joseph, a Portland, Oregon-based, sister trio. Their sound is rooted in the unique blend of siblings singing together. Whether it’s the Beach Boys or the Everly Brothers - or, more recently, First Aid Kit - absorbing the same breathing rhythms and speech patterns adds an element to vocal harmonies that can be pure magic. With the release of I’m Alone, No You’re Not, the mesmerizing, hypnotic sound of the trio known as Joseph - made up of sisters Allison, Meegan, and Natalie Closner – joins this elite company. Joseph has performed at music festivals across the globe including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival, Sasquatch Festival, Glastonbury and many more.
