Seattle-based MOD Pizza is coming to Jacksonville with a location at Bartram Village. Mod Pizza will officially open next Tuesday, December 19 at noon. The 2,284-square-foot restaurant will open at 12547 Bartram Park Blvd, Suite 201.

MOD Pizza has more than 200 locations in 20 states and five restaurants in the United Kingdom. The franchisee opening the Jacksonville store is Fort Lauderdale-based Food for Thought South LLC.

MOD says its gas-fired ovens cook at 800 degrees, so it only takes a few minutes to cook a pizza, depending on the number of toppings. The menu includes pizzas, salads and drinks

MOD Pizza, a pioneer of the fast casual pizza segment, was founded in Seattle in 2008 by entrepreneurs Scott and Ally Svenson. MOD's individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, allowing customers to create their own pizzas and salads, using fresh-pressed dough, signature sauces and over 30 toppings, for one price. At the core of MOD is a purpose-led culture that is committed to being a force for good in communities throughout the U.S. and abroad, creating not only a cool place to eat, but an inspired place to work.

The Grand Opening will offer:

-- FREE pizza or salad for first 52 customers!

-- Drawing for free pizza for a year!

-- Awesome MOD giveaways

-- 100% of pizza sales all day will be donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida
