Four players from the Jacksonville Jaguars have been selected to the 2018 Pro Bowl.
The Jaguars’ four Pro Bowl selections are their most in a season since 1999 (seven players selected) and their four defensive players selected to the Pro Bowl are the most in a season in franchise history. Over the last two seasons, the Jaguars have added four Pro Bowl players to their roster, three via free agency (DT Malik Jackson in 2016, DE Calais Campbell and CB A.J. Bouye in 2017) and one via the draft (CB Jalen Ramsey in the first round of 2016). Bouye and Ramsey are the first Jaguars duo to make the Pro Bowl at the same position in the same year since DT John Henderson and DT Marcus Stroud were selected in 2004.
Tenth-year DE Calais Campbell has been selected to his third Pro Bowl (2014, 2015, 2017). Campbell, who currently owns the Jaguars single-season franchise record with a career-high and AFC-leading 14.5 sacks, was signed as an unrestricted free agent on March 10, 2017. Campbell finished second in the NFL in Pro Bowl fan voting for defensive ends. Campbell joins Tony Brackens (1999) as the only defensive ends to be named to the Pro Bowl in franchise history
Sixth-year DT Malik Jackson has been selected to his first Pro Bowl. Jackson has totaled a career-high 8.0 sacks this season, including a sack in three consecutive games entering Week 16. Jackson joins Gary Walker (1999), Marcus Stroud (2003, 2004, 2005) and John Henderson (2004, 2006) as the only four defensive tackles to be selected to the Pro Bowl in franchise history. Jackson is the first Jaguars defensive tackle to earn a Pro Bowl selection since John Henderson in 2006. Jackson‘s 8.0 sacks are the third-most in the NFL by a DT this season (Los Angeles’ Aaron Donald – 11.0 and Cincinnati’s Geno Atkins – 9.0 sacks).
Fifth-year CB A.J. Bouye has been selected to his first Pro Bowl. Bouye ranks third in the NFL with 17 passes defensed and his six INTs are the second-most in the NFL, trailing only Darius Slay’s seven INTs. Bouye signed with Jacksonville as an unrestricted free agent on March 10, 2017 following a four-year stint with the Houston Texans. Bouye joins Jalen Ramsey (2017) and Rashean Mathis (2006) as the only cornerbacks to be selected to the Pro Bowl in franchise history. Bouye led the NFL in Pro Bowl fan voting for CBs, finishing with 319,638 total votes.
Second-year CB Jalen Ramsey has been selected to his first Pro Bowl. Ramsey ranks third in the NFL with 17 passes defensed and has registered an INT in two of the last three games entering Week 16 at San Francisco. Ramsey joins A.J. Bouye (2017) and Rashean Mathis (2006) as the only cornerbacks to be selected to the Pro Bowl in franchise history. Ramsey finished second in the NFL in Pro Bowl fan voting for CBs, trailing only his teammate, A.J. Bouye.
Players for the game were determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counted one-third toward determining the 88 all-star players who were selected to the Pro Bowl. The NFL is the only sports league that combines voting by fans, coaches and players to determine its all-star teams. It was also the first professional sports league to offer online all-star voting in 1995. The 2018 Pro Bowl, which kicks off at a new start time of 3:00 PM ET on Sunday, January 28, will be televised live from Orlando’s Camping World Stadium on ESPN and ESPN Deportes and simulcast on ABC.
