The Mini Bar Donuts + Coffee is opening at 1300 Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville Beach at 9am this Saturday. The Mini Bar will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Jan. 13 and from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14.

Jacksonville natives Brooke Sams and her husband, Chase, are the owners of the store. They will also offer coffee by Bold Bean Coffee Roasters and beer by local breweries such as Jacksonville Beach-based Southern Swells Brewing Co.

“The donuts are all made to order, so if you come you’ll always get a hot donut,” Sams said. “There will be a set menu you can pick from but you can also come in and build your own donut with any number of crazy toppings.”

The Mini Bar will have 16 donut flavors, including s’mores, peanut butter cup, cookies n’ crème, jelly, birthday cake and a variety of glazes such as vanilla, strawberry, peanut butter and maple. A gluten-free donut also will be available. Their donuts are about a third of the size of a regular donut. This means you get to try more flavors each visit.

The 2,800-square-foot space will have 30 inside seats plus lounge seats and a 1,700-square-foot outdoor courtyard. Sams said she anticipates having a staff of 15. The store will be open Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
