Held annually the second weekend of February, DONNA Marathon Weekend (5k, 10k, Relay, Half Marathon, Marathon, Ultramarathon and Event Challenges) fills the City of Jacksonville and its Beaches in Northeast Florida with over 10,000 runners from all 50 states and 20 countries. Participants enjoy a flat, fast Boston-Qualifying marathon course that takes them through four beautiful beach communities with scenic views and an outpouring of crowd support. Expect water stations nearly every mile, race day temps averaging 55° F, and streets lined with a 26-mile beach block party. And it’s pink.  Very pink.  There’s a reason this event has been recognized by CNN Travel as one of the “Seven Marathons Worth the Trip” and “Favorite Charity Race” from the readers of Women’s Running Magazine. DONNA Marathon Weekend is an official event of The DONNA Foundation. The DONNA Foundation, a private non-profit organization in Northeast Florida, provides financial assistance and support nationwide to those living with breast cancer and funds groundbreaking research to finish the disease once and for all. To date, the foundation has served nearly 11,000 families in need and dispersed more than $5 million to fuel programs that move families from a place of fear to a place of love.

Friday, Feb. 9  Social Shakeout Run

This event is free and open to the public. Founder Donna Deegan, Olympian Joan Benoit-Samuelson and Olympian and Training Director Jeff Galloway will be participating. A three-mile run/walk will begin at 8 a.m. with DONNA Special Guests and the VIPinks.

Saturday, Feb. 10  DONNA 10K presented by Beard’s Jewelry

Back by popular demand, DONNA’s newest race, the DONNA 10K, will follow a course highlighting Hemming Park, The Jacksonville Landing and EverBank Field.

The main event of the DONNA Marathon Weekend meanders through Jacksonville’s four beach communities. In 2017, the Boston Marathon qualifier welcomed more than 10,000 runners from all 50 states and more than 10 countries. The marathon, half marathon and team relay will all begin at the DONNA Start Line.
