St. Augustine, Fla. (March 12, 2015) – Slightly Stoopid have enlisted their friends and Cali cohorts Dirty Heads and Stick Figure for their "Everything Is Awesome" Summer 2015 tour. Their tour will stop at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Thursday, July 23, 2015. Tickets for this concert event will go on sale to the general public Friday, March 20 at 12 p.m.
Slightly Stoopid is Kyle McDonald, Miles Doughty, Ryan “Rymo” Moran, Oguer “OG” Ocon, Daniel “Dela” Delacruz, Paul Wolstencroft, Andy Geib with special guest Karl Denson. Known for their fusion of folk, rock, reggae and blues with hip-hop, punk, funk and D.I.Y. work ethic, Slightly Stoopid has currently sold over 900,000 records on their own Stoopid Records label. Their most recent studio album Top of the World debuted at #13 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart. This followed the Slightly Stoopid & Friends LIVE AT ROBERTO’s TRI STUDIOS album recorded live from Grateful Dead member Bob Weir’s Tri Studios complex featuring special guests Karl Denson, Ivan Neville, Ian Neville, Don Carlos, Tommy Chong and Bob Weir himself.
Huntington Beach’s Dirty Heads mix hip-hop, reggae, and rock along with that laid-back, South Cali attitude. The group formed in 2003 when punk rocker Dustin Bushnell asked his friend, rapper Jared Watson to collaborate on a project that would focus on positive vibes and infectious grooves. Their debut album featured one of the decade’s biggest rock singles, “Lay Me Down” which spent eleven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Chart.
Launched in Duxbury, Massachusetts, Stick Figure showcases the talents of multi-instrumentalist and producer Scott Woodruff. Stick Figure’s music has a unique style that creatively blends upbeat roots reggae with the reverberating echoes of dub. Often referred to as the “one man band,” Scott single-handedly created 4 full length albums from 2006- 2012 (a fifth album, “Reprise Sessions,” was recorded with a full band and released in 2010), and has sold over 50,000 albums worldwide. Each of Stick Figure’s songs are created by recording instruments individually, layering tracks on top of one another in unison.
