Due to a fire code violation, Lynch's Irish Pub located in Jacksonville Beach was ordered to pull all the cash down from its walls and ceiling in the restaurant. The dollar bills which decorated the walls, ceiling and bars of the pub had been collected since the pub opened in September, 1994. On Tuesday, the staff removed over $12,000 in dollar bills that were all over the pub.

Keith Doherty, one of the Pubs owners said the money will be donated to Jacksonville Firefighter Charities. "Whilst it's a sad day for us, it's encouraging to know that some good will come out of this action. Collectively, Lynch's patrons will make a huge difference in someone less fortunate's life." - Keith Doherty
