JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The 2018 Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp season presented by Community First Credit Union continues with a homestand Wednesday, Aug. 8, through Sunday, Aug. 12. The Jumbo Shrimp host the Mississippi Braves, Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, for a five-game series with a promotional lineup including the following highlights:
Wednesday, August 8, 7:05 p.m. (Gates open at 6 p.m.)
Publix Corks & Forks Wednesday: Fans can purchase a $15 package including a reserved seat and the opportunity to sample food, beer, and wine from Publix in the Safe Harbor Seafood Palm Tree Pavilion at tinyurl.com/jaxshrimpportal(password “PUBLIX”). Regular tickets may be upgraded for $6 each at the Pavilion or the box office. One lucky couple will win a dinner on the concourse that night, specially prepared by Chef Tony from Publix. That night’s wine sample at the ballpark will be available at your neighborhood Publix. Anyone who donates a canned food item at the box office can save $1 off a gameday ticket price (limit $1 off per ticket).
TIAA Bank Teacher Pep Rally: To gear up for the 2018-2019 school year, Duval County Public School teachers may show their DCPS ID at the box office for a free game ticket, compliments of TIAA Bank. The night will include new Duval County Superintendent Dr. Diana Greene throwing a ceremonial first pitch, a teacher bringing the lineup card at home plate, and teachers presenting the colors for the national anthem. Teachers will be recognized during the game and participate in on-field promotions, and the night will include teacher-themed prize giveaways.

St. Vincent’s HealthCare Military Appreciation Night: Veterans, active, retired and former military and their dependents receive free general admission or reserved tickets. All attendees with the military member must be present, and the member show an active military or veteran ID, at the box office to receive free tickets. The Jumbo Shrimp will wear camo jerseys.
Budweiser Thirsty Thursday: Fans can purchase $1 12-oz. and $2 24-oz. beers adjacent to the Budweiser Tiki Terrace, along the right-field concourse, and at the Oasis concession stand behind section 115. $1 small sodas are sold at the concession stands. DJ Swagg and DJ MoneyGud will provide music at the Budweiser Tiki Terrace.

NAPA AutoCare Family Fireworks: Fans may visit any participating NAPA AutoCare Center to get a FREE general admission ticket (reserved seat upgrade available at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville box office) for the Friday night game. Following the game, the Jumbo Shrimp have NAPA AutoCare Family Fireworks!
Red Shirt Friday: Fans are encouraged to wear red to support the military and save $1 per ticket at the box office or donate the $1 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The Jumbo Shrimp wear red “Bold City” jerseys every Friday.
Friday Night Lites Miller Lite Happy Hour: Miller Lite $1 12-oz. beers and $1 off craft beer specials are available in the Craft Cave near the third-base gate from gates opening until 7:30 p.m. every Friday.

Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday: Kids can feel like the pros before each Sunday home game, as families can play catch on the field, beginning at 2 p.m. A Jumbo Shrimp player autograph booth will be open before the game. Free face painting and balloon animals will be available in the Wolfson Children's Hospital Kids Zone. Following the game, kids 12 and under can run the bases.
