St. Augustine, FL (March 11, 2014) – The Goo Goo Dolls and Daughtry will hit the road in June for a summer amphitheatre and arena tour. The Plain White T's will be the special guests. The tour kicks off on June 12th and crisscrosses North America through the end of the summer. The tour will stop at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Thursday, June 19. Tickets go on sale next Saturday, March 22 at 10AM.

Many artists have performed at both the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall including Art Garfunkel, Robert Cray, JJ Grey and Steep Canyon Rangers. However, the Goo Goo Dolls will be the first to play at both venues in the same year. The group will perform The Otis Midnight Sessions, An evening of Acoustic Music to a sold out crowd on April 17 at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.

"We are excited to finally be teaming up with Daughtry," says Goos vocalist-guitarist John Rzeznik. "Not only are we big fans of Chris, but we think this is going to be a huge party for the fans of both our bands. The combination of the two will make for an awesome summer night of great American rock music."

"We are huge fans of the Goo Goo Dolls and have wanted to tour with them for a long time now," says lead singer Chris Daughtry. "Everyone will see more than two great bands on stage. They're going to get an incredible show every night and have a summer to remember."

After more than two decades as a band, with nine albums, a catalog of songs that have become ingrained in the pop consciousness and countless concerts for millions of fans, the Goo Goo Dolls are feeling particularly good about their new album: Magnetic. “This album was really upbeat and fun,” says John Rzeznik, the trio’s primary singer, songwriter and guitarist since it was founded in Buffalo in 1986. “I don’t think we’ve made a record like this in a while. Just had a great time doing it.”

Not to mention that recently three of the band’s songs placed in Billboard’s Top 100 of 1992-2012, with “Iris” standing at No. 1. That song has also connected with a new generation, as Dolls fan Taylor Swift has been performing it in her concerts.

In the course of only five years, Chris Daughtry has had more than his share of career highlights. The singer, songwriter, and musician from North Carolina has released back-to-back No. 1 albums, the 4x-platinum DAUGHTRY (which became the fastest-selling rock debut in Soundscan history) and 2009’s platinum Leave This Town. DAUGHTRY has scored four No. 1 Top 40 hits (“It’s Not Over, “Home,” “Feels Like Tonight,” and “No Surprise”), earned four Grammy Award nominations (including “Best Rock Album” for DAUGHTRY), won four American Music Awards, and brought its electrifying live show to all corners of the world, including sold-out arenas in South Africa, Singapore, and The Philippines.
