Apple Makes Announcements At The Annual Worldwide Developers Conference Today

Over 5000 developers listened today to Tim Cook and others make a slew of announcements its annual Worldwide Developers Conference at the San Jose Convention Center. Apple unveiled its most powerful Mac yet, a long-awaited Siri speaker, and tons of new software upgrades across all of the Apple platforms, from your iPhone to your Apple Watch.
The all-new iMac Pro packs monster power into the same super sleek design that makes Apple products so covetable. It comes with processors up to 22 teraflops, memory up to 128 gigs, and as much as 4 terabytes of storage.
Apple is now battling with Amazon and Google for control of your living room. The company unveiled the HomePod, a speaker with Siri built-in that will start selling in December. Apple is promoting the HomePod as a cross between a dedicated home assistant and a high-end speaker, saying it can adjust its audio output depending on the size of the room it's in. Users will be able to control the HomePod with their voice, asking Siri to check the weather, provide traffic updates, control smart home devices, and send text messages.
The Apple Watch will soon be getting an update that brings new watch faces and additional fitness features,. One such watch face will use Siri to serve up information it thinks is relevant based on the time of day. For fitness fanatics, Apple is adding the ability for the Apple Watch to exchange data with your gym equipment and will be able to sync playlists to your Apple Watch and listen to them through your Airpods while exercising without your phone nearby. You can also use the watch face as a flashlight or blinking light during runs in the darkness.
