Looking to find a great place to take the family to see Christmas Lights around the First Coast? We have comprised a list of the best spots to check out.
1. Blackhawk Bluff Neighborhood off Girvin Road
Dazzle your family and friends with a drive through this neighborhood located just West of Neptune Beach. The entire neighbor hood participates in a event that started over a decade ago.
2. Jax Illuminations @ The Morocco Shrine Center​
Jax Illuminations has created a wonderful opportunity for families to create a new holiday tradition. Enjoy the magic of driving through a mile of holiday lights that are perfectly synchronized to holiday music. Come see over 500,000 brilliant LED lights that dance, twinkle, and sparkle to some of your favorite holiday songs. Before you enter the drive through display you will tune your car radio to our station then enter into a mile of synchronized lights, giant presents, candy canes, and much more.
3. Deck The Chairs
Deck The Chairs is an annual lighted sculptural exhibit at the Sea Walk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach using the iconic red chairs of the Volunteer Lifesaving Corp.. Free and open to the public. The light display aims to build community pride, foster private and public relationships, and provide a wholesome and festive downtown during the holidays.
4. 402 Snapping Turtle Drive E., Atlantic Beach
Two homes are covered with over 40,000 lights, set in motion to holiday music that is playing outside. It is free and open to the public to ride by. Lights are on nightly.
5. Christmas on Crystal Springs
Located at 10580 Crystal Springs Rd, "Christmas on Crystal Springs" is an animated Christmas light display located in Jacksonville, Florida. It is dedicated to celebrating an often neglected part of the Christmas tradition which is the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The 2014 Show will start on November 27th, Thanksgiving night. We have some new surprises this year. Our charity this year will be Operation Homefront again. Please give if you can.
6. Nights of Lights in St. Augustine
St. Augustine’s popular holiday season city-wide event - the famed Nights of Lights celebration – will glow with more than three million brilliant white lights again this year attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors to the oldest city in the Nation. Nights of Lights runs November 22, 2014, through January 31, 2015, in St. Augustine, Fla.
During Nights of Lights, St. Augustine glows with holiday magic - from the ground to the rooftops. Selected by National Geographic in 2011 & 2012 as one of the ten best holiday lighting displays in the world, St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights feature millions of tiny white lights that create a magical atmosphere in the Nation’s oldest city. Many historic landmarks and locations are beautifully illuminated during Nights of Lights. The waters of Matanzas bay glow from the nightly reflections of lights strewn along the bay walk and displayed on the Bridge of Lions.
7. Arbor Glade Subdivision
Arbor Glade Subdivision off of Old St. Augustine Road in between 95 and 295 in Mandarin. Watch Tower drive takes you into the subdivision. The theme is Santa’s Adventures Throughout the Year.
