Goin’ Coastal Music Series is proud to announce the return of the Slide into Spring Music and Craft Beer presented by Sweetwater Brewing Company. Its coming back to Main Beach in Fernandina on March 28th and 29th of 2015 with headliner Matisyahu! After a successful inaugural event, one that featured folk legend Keller Williams and a handful of other national acts, over a dozen craft breweries and countless entertainment opportunities, Slide into Spring returns to help raise money for 8 Flags Playscapes, Inc. and the Nassau Humane Society. Last year the event raised over $15,000 for the 8 Flags Playscapes project, Pirate Playground. This year we hope to help both groups move closer to some other big projects they have on their plate.

This year we have taken the event to a whole other level. The event has been pushed to a 2-day event, has an over-the-top music lineup, increased entertainment zone, early morning yoga seminars, a beach clean-up, off-site primitive camping and much, much more.

Saturday, we stick to the roots of the first year with a funky music line-up, craft beer tasting in the early part of the day, interactive kids zone and area food trucks. Pensacola up and comers Post Pluto will kick things off. After that, Jacksonville’s own The Corbitt Brothers will bring their raucous act to the stage. Following them will be 5-time Grammy Winner Trae Pierce and his band The T-Stones. We will then welcome back Asheville’s The Fritz. They are the only returning band from last year’s event. Turkuaz will then kick off the night session with their power-funk set! Finally, hometown legend Andrew Altman will return home with the rest of Railroad Earth and close us out in style!!!

Sunday, we bring in a true island vibe with a reggae inspired day. Before the shows, we will have a beach yoga retreat followed by a mass beach clean-up. After we get all cleaned up, Spiritual Rez will take the stage and set the mood. Following them will be Florida’s own The Supervillains. After that, we welcome true legends in the reggae world, The Wailers, to the stage. And if that wasn’t enough, we close the event with a true superstar with over 1.2 million Facebook followers, Matisyahu.

This is an amazing event that will help benefit two great organizations in our community. Tickets will go on sale at an early bird rate on Eventbrite.com beginning on December 1, 2014. Get yours early and take advantage of the savings.
