It is almost the end of April which means it is time to enjoy the Sunshine State! It is the final week for Jax River Jams (this week featuring Manchester Orchestra). Come enjoy the Duval Draft Party and get excited for the upcoming season! If you wanna see a football game this week, the Jacksonville Sharks will be playing. More into baseball? Check out the Jumbo Shrimp Schedule along with UNF Baseball and Softball. The Mighty Oak Festival is happening at the Cummer Museum where you’ll enjoy 15 Florida-based musical acts, performing throughout the 2.5 acres of historic gardens. Jax River Jams

Draft Party in the 904!

Where: River City Railway

DUUUUUVAL!!! Get ready for the most poppin Draft Party in the 904! Join us and the Jags Nation on Thursday, April 28th at the River City Railway for an evening filled with football, fun and excitement for the 2022 season! 

The draft will be streamed on a giant video board followed by a concert, and a live DJ. There will be several food trucks, local restaurants, beverage stations, vendors and more!

For a limited time, General Admission tickets are just $5 and include access to the party + one complimentary beer! A premium, all inclusive VIP experience is also available, which includes access to several private train cars featuring cocktail & food stations, air conditioned restrooms, private viewing areas and more!

Tickets are expected to sell out for what will be one of the largest pre-season events!

Billy Strings

TIMUCUAN SCIENCE & HISTORY SYMPOSIUM

Where: HISTORIC RIBAULT CLUB ON FORT GEORGE ISLAND

Jacksonville Silent Party

When:  4/30 9PM

Where: 5538 Normandy BLVD

When you arrive you’ll receive a pair of wireless headphones. You can adjust the volume and choose between up to three DJ’s with a flip of a switch. Each headset has a color (BLUE, RED, GREEN) LED that shows what channel you are listening to, so you can dance along with those listening to the same DJ. It’s super social; just lower the volume or take the headphones off to talk to that girl or guy. There’s no loud music that you have to talk over. Plus, there’s no ringing in your ears when you leave!

MIGHTY OAK MUSIC + MAKERS FESTIVAL

Where: The Cummer

Just as folk artists in American Perspectives (the Museum’s special exhibition running through May 22) share stories through art, musicians share their stories through song, and the Mighty Oak Music + Makers Festival is going to celebrate just that!⁠

There, you’ll enjoy 15 Florida-based musical acts, performing throughout the 2.5 acres of historic gardens. Where better to enjoy a day full of music than under the 200+ year live oak right in @cummermuseum ‘s backyard!? A Night in the Vineyard

A Night in the Vineyard (presented by River Bay Investments) is a fun, charitable evening at Jacksonville Beach’s new SoNapa Grille featuring fine wines, craft beer, savory food, live and silent auctions, live music by Nashville recording artist Colleen Orender and special guest Paris Winningham (top 3 finalist from NBC's The Voice), and a live painting by artist Penelope Moore. Using vivid colors and texture, the artist will paint the flavors she tastes while drinking a glass of Oceano wine during the party.

First Wednesday Art Walk

ROCK OF AGES

Featuring a live band, Rock of Ages is a jukebox musical focused on classic rock songs of the 1980s. It finds aspiring musician Drew trying to save the Sunset Strips last legendary rock venue from developers. Includes hits like Sister Christian, We Built This City, and Here I Go Again.

Alex O'Connor, also known as Rex Orange County, is a gifted singer/songwriter known for his literate, quirky brand of bedroom pop that combines jazz, hip-hop, and soul influences. He built upon his viral buzz with 2017's Apricot Princess, which found him further expanding his sound. The Run Home 2022
