There are a few events to participate in like a movie night at the Jumbo Shrimp Ballpark, an Icemen game, and a family farm day! Make plans to join us in historic LaVilla for a special community clean up we are hosting in coordination with the Downtown Investment Authority, The Downtown Dwellers, and DTJax! The event will take place from 9-11am this Saturday, is family friendly & includes all supplies you’ll need! We will also be doing a scavenger hunt with chances to win a $100 gift card! Community service & volunteer hour sign offs will be available at the event.
Masquerade Ball - Premier Bride Expo is happening this Sunday at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village! At the expo, meet the area’s top wedding professionals in a safe and socially distanced environment! Swag bags for all engaged couples, taste testing, fashion and more!
Disney’s The Princess and the Frog will be showing at The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 121 Financial Ballpark this Satruday from 6pm – 9pm. They are kicking off their illustrious 2021 Family Movie Night calendar on the high-definition video board. Gates open at 5 p.m.
Help make Jax Beaches beautiful and clean this Saturday. This cleanup has 3 beach locations - please be sure to RSVP for the correct location for supply planning purposes. There are multiple locations: Jacksonville Beach (Oceanfront Park), Beaches Town Center (Atlantic Blvd Beach Access), Ponte Vedra Beach (Mickler Beach Access). Each location will have pre-event beach yoga at 8am then a community cleanup from 9am-11am. Prizes will be awarded at 11:15am.
This Thursday, Hyperion Brewing Company will be transforming their beer garden into a local vendor shopping event from 6pm - 9pm . Sip on your favorite beverage and stroll under the sprawling jasmine while shopping your favorite local vendors. Chefs Corner Kitchen will be open and will have the entire menu available for dinner & tapas.
Enjoy a 5 course authentic Italian meal paired perfectly with wine selections from the same regions at this exclusive guided tasting event. Native Italian, Diana Testa, owner of Italian cooking lessons, will share her passion and culture with you while explaining what makes each region unique. Wine expert, Colin from Republic National, has selected wines from each featured region and will guide you through tasting each pairing. Sip Cozy is hosting a vendor market from 10am -3pm this Saturday. This Feel the Love Jax event is to support for local, female-owned companies. Come out to Hotel Palms to listen to the panel of guest speakers, participate in a workout class, and do a little shopping!
After surviving what has been the most impossible year, Legacy Ale Works is excited to announce the dates of their 2nd Anniversary Celebration! They’ll be celebrating in grand fashion with a number of new beer releases, awesome food and live music in the courtyard each day during the 3-day celebration. Egans Creek Greenway features grass-covered trails ideal for walking and bicycling, a nature pavilion and picnic area located at the Atlantic Avenue entrance, benches, a boardwalk, educational kiosks, and several areas designated for wildlife viewing. Local wildlife, such as alligators, marsh rabbits, and many birds, may be enjoyed from a distance. A restroom is available at the Nature Pavilion.
Just west of bustling downtown Jacksonville, the Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail-Trail, one of north Florida's oldest, most unique trails. Once a part of the CSX railway line, the Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail Trail is a thoroughfare for hikers, bikers, and equestrians. This unique park provides a 14.5-mile greenway between Imeson Road and County Road 121, just past the town of Baldwin. A dense tree canopy shelters much of the nearly 15-mile paved path, providing habitat for hawks, wood storks, stilts and belted kingfishers.
