Jacksonville has plenty of fun events happening this week! It is your last chance to see the Jacksonville Shrimp at home this season. There are also concerts, a comedy show, theatre shows, 5Ks, a Jaguars game, tailgate and more!

Dreams Come True Annual 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run This Saturday at Metropolitan Park

When: September 25 7:45 AM

Where: Metropolitan Park

Dreams Come True of Jacksonville, the First Coast’s locally-based dream granting organization for children battling life-threatening illnesses, is bringing back its in-person Annual 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run, presented by TOTE, after going fully virtual in 2020.

Set for Jacksonville’s Metropolitan Park on Saturday, September 25, 2021, registered participants will join Dreams Come True and its sponsors as they walk, run or roll throughout downtown Jacksonville, all in the effort to raise funds to sponsor the dreams of local children battling life- threatening illnesses. A virtual option is available for those wishing to support the event from the comfort of their home or neighborhoods. All participants will receive a tie-dyed DCT5K shirt and finisher’s medal.

Squeeze: The Nomadband Tour Coming To The Florida Theatre 

When: September 23 at 8PM

Squeeze first formed in 1973, shortly after Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook had begun their songwriting partnership, brought together by an ad in a sweetshop window. By 1977 they had made their recording debut and enjoyed a string of hits which lasted until 1982, the maturity of their songs outliving their initial burst of chart activity on the back of New Wave. Over the years there have been solo careers and occasional separations, but the Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriting duo Chris and Glenn reunited ten years ago to relaunch Squeeze and have been touring, writing and recording together since.

The Haunted Tavern- Jacksonville

The Be Afraid of the Dark Pop-Up Bar is a haunted cocktail experience run by the decedents of Ichabod Crane. The tavern keeper will guide guests through a 4-part interactive cocktail journey while sharing chilling and dark tales of his ancestor's past and the ghost of Gainesville. Beware of the surprises of the night and of course, the guests that never left. The event is held at Colonial Musicale, one of the most haunted places in Jacksonville and home to their own ghost.

Reservations are held nightly and restricted to a small number of guests for a 90-minute experience. The Haunted Tavern appears for limited time only in select dates of September, the portal closes after the final day and the Tavern disappears.

Celebrate Arlington Sept 24-25 benefits Historic Norman Studios

The community is invited to join the JAX Chamber Arlington Council September 24-25, to celebrate beautiful Arlington and support Norman Studios, one of Jacksonville’s most significant historic landmarks. The festivities begin Friday evening from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Norman Studios campus located at 6337 Arlington Road. The event is free, but registration is required.

Sing Out Loud Festival

St. Augustine’s Sing Out Loud Festival sponsored this year by the  St. Augustine Distillery, is the largest free music festival in Florida. The Festival returns in September 2021 with a roster of more than 100 national, regional, and local artists performing in live concerts over three weekends at multiple venues downtown and at the St. Augustine Ampitheatre . This is the 5th Annual Sing Out Loud Festival, and it promises to be one of the most exciting and eclectic presentations of musical performances and one of the most significant festivals in northeast Florida.

AJR: The OK Orchestra Tour
