This weekend brings Cinco De Mayo, concerts, festivals, Mother's Day, and more! There are two FREE outdoor movie nights! Summer sports are here including Baseball and Arena Football! The Icemen are in the playoffs so come support them. Read ahead and find an event (or multiple) and get your weekend off to a great start. We also recommend reading until the end so you can plan ahead for weeks in advance!

Country fans won’t want to miss the legendary Tim Mcgraw performing at Daily’s Place. He’s been in the music scene since the mid-’90s and has kept the top country charts consistently for over 20 years!

Rex Orange County

Where: St. Augustine Amp

Alex O'Connor, also known as Rex Orange County, is a gifted singer/songwriter known for his literate, quirky brand of bedroom pop that combines jazz, hip-hop, and soul influences. O'Connor was still a teenager when he first gained attention online in 2015 for his self-produced album bcos u will never be free. He built upon his viral buzz with 2017's Apricot Princess, which found him further expanding his sound. The album cracked the Top Ten of Billboard's Independent Albums chart, and paved the way for his even more ambitious, jazz-inflected 2019 effort PONY.

ERYKAH BADU AND FRIENDS: featuring Ja Rule and Goodie Mob with Rickey Smiley

Erica Abi Wright, known professionally as Erykah Badu, is an American singer-songwriter, record producer and actress. Influenced by R&B, 1970s soul, and 1980s hip hop, Badu became associated with the neo soul subgenre in the 1990s and 2000s along with artists such as D'Angelo and Maxwell.

The CarePlus Block Party at James Weldon Johnson Park

When: 5/6

Where: JWJ Park

Join James Weldon Johnson Park for The CarePlus Block Party – a free, family friendly event featuring St. Petersburg, FL based Progressive Funk band, AJEVA and Jacksonville based favorite, Mama Blue!

The event will spotlight fun games for all ages – including ping pong tables, cornhole, kan jam, bocci ball, and more; frozen drinks; food trucks; and all-around good times and summer vibes.

Where: Seawalk Pavilion Jacksonville Beach

Relax under the stars at the Seawalk Pavilion with your family and friends as this classic plays on the big screen. As always, this event is free!

Food trucks will be at the Seawalk Pavilion around 6pm, but generally pack up when the movie starts; come early if you'd like to get some good food for dinner!

Be sure to bring a blanket and/or chair so you're comfortable!

Pints and Poses for Pride

Jacksonville Yoga for Justice and Inclusion (JYJI) proudly announces its partnership with JASMYN. Beginning in June of 2022, JYJI will lead yoga classes for JASMYN. 

Come to  Fishweir Brewing's beer garden for a fun-filled, group-led yoga class taught by JYJI founding members. Hang out after class for a pint, too.

The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. HAIM is coming to Jax! Haim is an American pop rock band, based in Los Angeles and comprising three sisters, Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim. The Run Home 2022

What It Is: Root Realty is proud to be hosting the 3rd Annual Run Home 5K and Kids Fun Run Sprint through Riverside!

Who It Is For: All proceeds benefit Sulzbacher + Rethreaded who actively help the homeless community and survivors of human trafficking get back on their feet through housing, employment, + more!

Where It Is: The race will begin at 8:30am. The post race party, immediately after the race, to be hosted at Root Realty’s office. Party will include music, a food truck + festivities for the whole family!
