Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 28, Northeast Florida residents and visitors alike will be able to board the USS Orleck, the most decorated Gearing Class Destroyer. Guests will experience the ship’s bridge, combat information center, division commander’s stateroom, galley, wardroom, mess decks and climb into one of the main guns of the ship. The USS Orleck arrived in March to downtown Jacksonville.

VyStar Credit Union members will get exclusive early access on Sunday, Sept. 25, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. by showing their VyStar credit or debit card. Starting Wednesday, Sept. 28, the USS Orleck will be open to the public Wednesdays through Sundays.

Parking is available in the lot between the USS Orleck and the Main Street Bridge.
