Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will enter Phase Two of its re-opening to the public on Sunday, June 21. This phase includes the opening of the 4D Theater, carousel, train, and animal feedings with each Total Experience ticket.

The Zoo and Gardens officially re-opened to the public on Saturday, May 9 with limited capacity and modifications to operations in alignment with health recommendations. Although there are no longer timed reservations, daily reservations are required for all guests, including Members. Guests must purchase their tickets online, in advance to visit between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Total Experience will also include Dinosauria, a temporary exhibit featuring the prehistoric creatures and plants of the Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Pleistocene periods. Starting June 21, Dinosauria will no longer be included complimentary with General Admission.

Dads and families are invited to have a relaxing time filled with fresh air in a spacious outdoor environment on Father’s Day. Local craft beer, curated playlist music, and a view of the Trout River will be available at The Watering Hole. As part of the Father’s Day event, a special activity for kids includes creating their own Father’s Day cards. Physical distancing and sanitation after each use of supplied materials will be implemented by staff. Extended menus are also now available including gluten-free and vegetarian options.

Total Experience tickets starting June 21 are available to reserve on JacksonvilleZoo.org/Visit at $32.95 for adults and $25.95 for children. This includes Dinosauria, 4D Theater, unlimited train rides, unlimited carousel rides, and animal feedings as available. General Admission, which does not include the additional attractions, is $24.95 for adults and $19.95 for children. Total Experience ticket upgrades for Members is $10 for adults and $8 for children. Guests must select the day they would like to visit to purchase a ticket.

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens implemented measures on grounds for the safety of staff, animals, volunteers, and guests. These measures include limited capacity, a one-way walking path, cashless transactions, handwashing and sanitizer stations, and limits to large groups.
