Seminoles And Gators Are Headed Back To The College World Series

The final leg of the 2017 Division I baseball tournament kicks off June 17 and runs through June 27/28. The eight teams participating in this year's CWS are Oregon State, Texas A&M, Cal State Fullerton, Louisville, Florida State, TCU, LSU, and Florida.
The eight teams will be playing a double-elimination format to determine who gets to claim the title as national champions. The finals, a best-of-three series, is scheduled for June 26-27/28.
The Seminoles punched their ticket to college baseball’s championship series in Omaha, Neb., with an emphatic 19-0 win over Sam Houston State late Monday night, clinching the program’s first trip to the CWS since 2012.
Also on Monday night, the Gators posted a 3-0 victory over Wake Forest in front of 3,381 at McKethan Stadium, sending UF to the College World Series for the sixth time under coach Kevin O’Sullivan.
The pairings and game times for the first two days of the Men’s College World Series have been announced. The 71st MCWS will take place at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska, from June 17-27/28.
