This fall, Seasons 52 will offer a new menu for customers to get everyone into the mood for autumn. I spoke to the manager, Jessica Sprecher, who gave me a little preview of their new menu and information about its history and their chef.
The new menu is inspired by “What’s Good Now for Autumn” and is woven throughout with Butternut Squash, Caramelized Brussel Sprouts, Mushrooms, and Truffles. With the fresh appeal of a farmer’s market and authentic flavors, Seasons 52 uses rustic cooking techniques that create dishes that are well balanced and simply lighter.
A history about the Jacksonville Seasons 52 is that they opened to the public in October of 2011 (this year will be 5 years since its opening). Since then, Seasons 52 has rebranded including adding various holiday menu options such as Brunch for Easter & Mother’s Day, Turkey Dinner on Thanksgiving, and Sunset at Seasons Happy Hour. Some fun facts: three of the four Front of the House Managers opened the restaurant but all in different positions; they were the 20th Seasons 52 opened for Darden Inc.
Chef Jeff Buckner, Executive Chef Partner, has been a Chef for 12 years. Although he started out as a bartender, he realized how much he actually wanted to be in the kitchen…where he has remained! On his personal time, Chef Jeff enjoys grilling, making BBQ, and smoking meats. At work, Chef Buckner’s new favorite menu item to grill is the Wood-Grilled Georges Banks Swordfish while his favorite new Autumn Menu item is the Autumn Spinach and Caramelized Bosc Pear Salad.
Sip and Savor Jax begins September 11 and runs until the 24th. Seasons 52 will be offering Lunch for $15 and Dinner for $35.
