You can't buy happiness... but you can buy ice cream! Here is a list of a few of our favorite local ice cream spots and other frozen treats in the 904, so you can beat the heat and enjoy some delicious local businesses this summer.

Gator Ice Cream

This unique spot features hand-crafted made-in-house American Hard ice cream. Everything is made fresh and they currently have over 60 FLAVORS!

Dreamette

Dreamette has been serving the Jacksonville community since 1948 and has been a local favorite ever since. Dreamette currently has three locations around Jacksonville and has plans to continue to grow and open more throughout the community. They are known for their dipped cones and famous banana splits, but they also offer incredible freezes, floats, milkshakes, and sundaes!

Spingfield Scoops

Springfield Scoops is a woman-owned and black-owned ice cream spot located in historic Springfield. You won't miss this ice cream shop with their colorful, vibrant walls on the outside and inside of the shop. They have over 150 homemade ice cream flavors and keep 24 rotating flavors on display at all times, so there's plenty of options to choose from!

Cookies and Creme

Cookies and Creme is a local, veteran, and family owned late night cookie bakery located in Jacksonville Beach. Their cookies are baked fresh daily and their ice cream is homemade, made in-store! They are known for their mouthwatering build-your-own cookie ice cream sandwiches like the one pictured above!

Flo's Premium Ice Cream is located in Ponte Vedra Beach and features over 100 homemade flavors of ice cream which the shop rotates through as well as homemade pies, delicious ice cream cookie sandwiches, and more!

Mayday has over 25 flavors of ice cream, including multiple dairy free options as well! Plus, their sprinkles, waffle cones, and cookies are all home-made! Most of their locations are based in Jacksonville and St. Augustine but they recently expanded and opened a location in Tampa.

Sweet Pete's Candy Shop features delicious ice cream by Hershey, along with any other sweet treat you can dream of. They also offer gift baskets, classes, tours, and an event space for parties! The Hyppo sells iconic gourmet ice pops that are a must-get when visiting St. Augustine. All of their ice pops are simple and refreshing made with fresh fruit and cane sugar, making it the perfect treat on a hot summer day. The Hyppo started in St. Augustine and has since expanded into Gainesville, St. Pete, and Tampa.
