This week in downtown Jacksonville, continue the yearlong Jacksonville Bicentennial celebration with a week of creativity, collaboration, and envisioning Jacksonville's next 100 years. Several special events will be taking place at The Jessie Ball duPont Center at 40 E. Adams St. The activities that take place over this week will be documented in an online digital time capsule for all future Jaxsons to enjoy.

Schedule of Events:

Tuesday, August 9 • 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Artist Salon

Open to all Jaxsons who consider themselves artists or creatives and who want to learn and network

The Jessie and the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville will host an inaugural artist salon, a space for bonding, networking, and idea-sharing. A salon is an experimental lab for new ideas, and a place to learn and grow by leaps and bounds as an artist and professional. The discussion at the inaugural salon will center around the question, "What can we do to better support local artists and build a more sustainable creative economy in Jacksonville?"
