Everybody loves dinner and a movie. Some people can’t afford a movie due to them getting more expensive. A lot of theaters have been getting upgrades to make sure moviegoers get what they are paying for. However, the current upgrades don’t compare to those off the new luxury cinema looking to break ground in Jacksonville.

According to the Jacksonville Daily Record, Jeff Fuqua is planning on bringing CineBistro to the Exchange near southeast Butler Blvd and I-295. It’s calling itself a “world class ‘dinner and a movie’ concert”. CMX CineBistro operates 14 locations in nine states, including five in Florida. It is a subsidiary of Cinemex, the Mexican-based movie chain. In addition to all the technology, it offers options from “blockbuster movies, art and independent films, to special screenings of live music and sports.”

This theater will include a full menu and bar in it’s location, catering to an adult crowd. Menu items in areas like Sarasota, Miami, and Tampa include roll sliders, seared scallops, shrimp mac and cheese, wagyu beef sliders and New York Strip steak. With a bar menu including cocktails, beer and whole bottles of wine available for purchase. There also are concessions that sell traditional movie snacks like popcorn and candy. CineBistro says that the bar and lounge are open to all guests, including those not seeing a movie. As for children, CineBistro’s locations are tailored to patrons 21 and up. Each location will have an age policy.

Hopefully Jacksonville will have a CineBistro to call their own.
