The public is invited to celebrate Deck The Chairs - Light the Beach on Sunday, November 30, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.  as we "throw the switch" to light decorated lifeguard chairs and a 23-foot tall holiday tree on display in Latham Plaza and the Seawalk Pavilion.

The official lighting ceremony will feature live music provided by BRASS and special recognitions including "Deck The Chairs Spirit of the Corps Award" that honors a Corps member, past or present, for exemplifying the traditions, attitudes, and purpose of the Volunteer Lifesaving Corp.

Deck The Chairs is an annual lighted sculptural exhibit using the iconic red chairs of the Volunteer Lifesaving Corp.  Free and open to the public, the light display aims to build community pride, foster private and public relationships, and provide a wholesome and festive downtown during the holidays.
