US Assure, a member of the Jacksonville business community for nearly 40 years and a national leader in commercial insurance programs and services, and the Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to make US Assure the official naming partner for the Touchdown Clubs at EverBank Field.
The premium spaces, located on the east and west sides of the stadium, will be known beginning this season as the US Assure Clubs at EverBank Field.
The partnership will be for a term of four years, with additional details to be provided tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 17, by Jaguars Owner Shad Khan, Jaguars President Mark Lamping and US Assure Chairman and CEO Ty Petway at the team’s annual state of the franchise address.
“The US Assure brand is all about assuring success. While that always means success for our clients and employees, it also means success for our community,” said Petway. “We see perfect alignment for US Assure with the vision Shad and Mark have laid out for the Jaguars organization and their commitment to Jacksonville over the past three years. By affiliating US Assure with the Jaguars, we become a stronger company and make a commitment to a stronger Jaguars franchise and community.”
“As the Jaguars and the City continue to enhance EverBank Field, a key community asset only gets better through this partnership,” Petway added. “We think the concepts for a renovated club under the US Assure name will not only benefit Jaguars fans but also make EverBank Field and our community more attractive as we work to become a destination for premium sporting and entertainment events. US Assure is proud to be a leader in this initiative.”
Extensive renovations to the club area are envisioned by the team, pending approval by the State of Florida of a sales tax rebate application made jointly by the Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville. The improvements to the US Assure Clubs are anticipated to include:
-
Open deck areas overlooking the field from both the upper and lower club levels on the east and west sides
-
Glazing walls separating the indoor club space from the outdoor decks
-
Canopies to provide shade over parts of the decks where outdoor bar seating will be located
The renovations, which would open up the indoor club areas and provide more flexible space, would also include relocating existing concession and novelty areas.
Additionally, due in part to US Assure’s partnership, season ticket members in the US Assure Clubs will enjoy enhanced member benefits during Jaguars games and throughout the year. The Jaguars will unveil these enhanced member benefits for all US Assure Club season ticket members in the coming weeks.
“The club partnership is an important and natural next step in our relationship with US Assure and in our desire to make EverBank Field the best possible in-game experience for our fans and, for that matter, the best anywhere in the NFL,” Khan said. “Ty and US Assure have been great Jaguars partners, and their passion and strategy to build a national brand has been a great fit with our initiatives, both locally and in London. Having the US Assure name affiliated with the club at EverBank Field is a showcase example of a strong Jacksonville business and brand aligning with our vision for the Jaguars as well as the entire Jacksonville community.”
“The US Assure company is a great corporate citizen, as it has been for many years in Jacksonville,” Lamping said. “We appreciate and welcome their commitment to the club experience at EverBank Field. The Jaguars will continually look for ways to surpass our fans’ expectations when they attend a game, and it’s noteworthy to have a company so deeply rooted in Jacksonville like US Assure who wants to play a major role in making that happen.”
US Assure began a sponsorship relationship with the Jaguars two years ago, becoming the sponsor of the hospitality events for the Jaguars’ games in London. That partnership was expanded in the 2014 season to include the unveiling of the new stadium video boards, and then US Assure utilized the video boards to promote their new branding throughout the season. US Assure has been a part of the Jaguars franchise history since the US Assure’s former chairman, Tom Petway, led the city’s bids to the NFL to secure the team in 1993.
Since Khan purchased the Jaguars in January of 2012, EverBank Field has undergone dramatic changes and upgrades. In 2012 renovations were made to the Jaguars locker room, weight room, training room and meeting space. Further renovations to the training room, rehabilitation area and coaches locker room were made in 2013. EverBank renewed its naming rights agreement in 2014, and the world’s largest video boards were installed last year as part of $63 million in enhancements, including 15 new video boards throughout the stadium, high density Wi-Fi and several new premium seating options featuring the cabanas at the north end of the stadium.
“We believe branding starts at home and there is no better way to do that than to partner with the Jaguars,” Petway said. “US Assure has a longstanding practice of being part of the Jacksonville community. We believe the Jaguars are an economic development engine for Jacksonville and enrich our civic pride. The community has a role to play in ensuring the success of the franchise. This is one way we can fulfill our commitment to the betterment of Jacksonville.”
