Beaches Freedom Festival

This weekend, be ready for Jacksonville Beach’s largest festival of the summer. The Beaches Freedom Fest will return on Saturday July 14, 2018 at the Seawalk Pavilion. It will run from noon till 10pm. Music, food, games, Beer Garden, will be provided at the festival. For local bike riders, there will be free bike valet presented by Velofix located on the North Festival Entrance on 1st Street. 

The Hot Dog eating contest will take place at the Main Stage from 1-4. Ten brave and hungry men and women will be selected to face off to see who can eat the most hot dogs in 10 minutes. The contest will begin at 1pm, followed by the Women’s Division at 2:30pm, and Men’s Division beginning at 4pm. 

A new addition to the festival this year is a Cornhole Tournament sponsored by JAX Fray! The tournament kicks off at 1pm. For a limited time, signup for the tournament is $20 per team and includes a complimentary beer per person plus registration into the tournament. In addition, there will be $500 in cash and prizes plus trophies for the top three teams! Registration is limited to the first 100 teams! If your team is registered for the tournament, please make sure to arrive at the festival between 12pm-1pm to check in at the Jax Fray tent prior to the tournament.

The following food trucks will be at Freedom Festival: The Happy Grilled Cheese, Sweeto Burrito Jax, Delish Kebabs Catering and Food Truck, Son of a Butcher, Funkadelic Food Truck, Rocco’s Pizzatruck, GuanaBana Ice Pops & More, Nitrogen Creamery, Manny’s Cuban Food Truck, Twisted Okie, Bubba Burger, Wingin’it Catering and Food Truck, Tikiz of Jacksonville Beach, Hottie Dawgs and more.

This year’s music line up will include Sidereal, Supervillans, The Band Be Easy, Romona, Zander, Lane Pittman, Southpoint and more.
