Art Bikes Jax is a fleet of electric bikes that are available to rent from Open Road Bicycles in Avondale. E bikes do all the work, allowing people the freedom to explore more of Jacksonville’s public art, parks and unique architecture.

The unique bikes are customized by local artists and every month new, custom bikes will be added to the fleet.

Art Bikes are available for two different adventures; an Art Bikes Picnic Lunch or an Art Bikes Self-Guided Tour, a 15-mile ride showcasing the best public art in downtown Jacksonville.

“Jacksonville has an incredible collection of public art from local and internationally acclaimed artists, Art Bikes is a way for people to explore and learn more about this unique collection of art,” said Ron Rothberg, owner, and creator of Art Bikes.

The bikes are available at Open Road Bicycles in Avondale, 3544 St Johns Avenue. Tours can be booked online at www.artbikesjax.com

Future plans for Art Bikes include artist lead tours and other curated events from local writers and performers.
