JACKSONVILLE— Jon Smith Subs is pleased to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening of the franchise’s first Jacksonville location. The ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. on July 17 at the Windsor Commons Shopping Center at 4765 Hodges Blvd Unit B, Jacksonville, FL 32224.
Following the ceremony, doors will then open to the public at 10:30 a.m. In addition to the ribbon cutting, there will be live entertainment, free $15 gift card giveaway for the first 17 guest who purchase a combo meal each day during the grand opening week (Monday – Saturday) and enter a drawing for a chance to win free subs for a year.
“The grand opening will be a celebration to bring together the community as we recognize the brand’s entrance into the Jacksonville market,” said Rob Cvetkovski, CEO of Indigo Hospitality Group, that acquired the brand in 2022. He further indicated the brand has seen tremendous growth in 2023 entering new markets such as Forth Worth,TX, the state of Alabama, and currently 200 plus units under development contract in Canada.
Bringing the “Thrill of the Grill” to Jacksonville is critical to the brand as it continues to build from the original Southern Florida stores founded in 1988 and solidify the brand’s positioning within the state.
The inaugural area location will be run by Solomon Jones and family, who have been Jacksonville residents for seven years. They plan on opening at least three more, with the next unit slated for Sawgrass Village Shopping Center in Ponte Vedra Beach, opening Spring of 2024. “The freshness of the menu and the concept of a budding brand is what drove me to become a Jon Smith Subs franchise owner,” said Jones. “This allows me and my family to become more involved in a community we enjoy and help build the brand as we grow
together.

We understand the importance of community involvement, so we’re opening with sponsorships and partnerships with Celebration Church, Florida Theatre, and will support mid-week community nights for non-profits and youth groups.
