St. Augustine, Fla. (November 6, 2017) – Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of their self-titled album, California surf rock band The Expendables will perform the album in its entirety live from the Backyard Stage at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Saturday, February 24. Joining The Expendables will be special guests Through the Roots and Pacific Dub. Tickets for The Expendables with Through the Roots and Pacific Dub go on sale this Friday, November 10 at 10 a.m.

The Expendables enjoyed a laid-back lifestyle growing up in Santa Cruz, CA – surfing, skating, partying and playing music were commonplace. Since 1997, The Expendables have staked their claim in the California surf/rock genre by headlining venues from coast to coast. Blending reggae, punk rock and 80s style dueling guitar solos, The Expendables have made heads turn and floors shake for years. The band consists of four longtime friends: Geoff Weers guitar and vocals), Adam Patterson (drums and vocals), Raul Bianchi (lead guitar) and Ryan DeMars (bass). The first seven years of their career was fueled with three full-length, completely independent releases. No Time To Worry (2000), Open Container (2001), and Gettin’ Filthy (2004), would bring in a combined total of over 40,000 units sold with no physical distribution and no record label. While touring and supporting their album, Gettin’ Filthy, The Expendables would share the stage with Slightly Stoopid and catch the attention of founders and front men Kyle McDonald and Miles Doughty. In 2007 Slightly Stoopid formed their own independent label, Stoopid Records, and signed The Expendables for the label’s first non-Stoopid release, which was The Expendables self- titled. Released in September 2007, the album would be accepted as an instant classic by fans and received rave reviews from critics. The band’s Winter 2018 tour will mark the 10th anniversary of their self-titled release and in celebration of this milestone, the band will be play the album in its entirety plus fan favorites.

From what was once a dream inspired by close friends, to humble beginnings filled with living room jams, late nights writing songs in the garage and backyard house parties San Diego-based reggae/rock band Through the Roots was born. In early 2008, Evan Hawkins and Taylor Boatwright met at a local guitar center. It was there that Evan shared his vision with Taylor, which eventually led to the beginning of TTR. Evan and Taylor came from different musical backgrounds but both were very moved by reggae. They believed TTR would provide them with the perfect vehicle to spread their message and adopted a Cali reggae/rock concept. In late 2008, Through the Roots added Brady O'Rear who brought his own musical tastes, complete with Hawaiian Islands reggae, and mixed them with those of Evan's and Taylor's to give TTR a broader range of ideas and influences to draw from. The band eventually added Corrick Watson (lead guitar/vocals) and Budda Foster (bassist/keys) to the talented, five-man mix. With the band set, Through the Roots looks forward to continue spreading its positive messages and showcasing its high energy shows to a growing legion of fans.

Coming from Surf City USA, Pacific Dub resides in Huntington Beach which is nestled nicely in southern California’s Orange County. Combining catchy choruses, heavy rock n’ roll guitar melodies, and smooth hip-hop and reggae rhythms are all significant characteristics that add to Pacific Dub’s coastal vibe, and genuine objective of creating innovative alternative-rock- reggae while sharing a message of love and peace.
