New Restaurant: Flying Iguana Coming To Neptune Beach
Neptune Beach Fl- There is a new restaurant coming to Beaches Town Center in Neptune Beach. The Flying Iguana, a Taqueria and Tequila Bar will be opening its doors soon. It will be located in the old Sun Dog Cafe. The restaurant will feature live music, creative signature cocktails, local craft beers and an exciting fusion of Latin American cuisine including: eclectic tacos, creative entrees, and one of the best brunches in town in a modern atmosphere.
The building has undergone extensive remodeling the past couple months and will be opening soon. Inspired by urban hotspots like Rocco's Tacos in South Florida, New York based Mercadito, Pardos Peruvian Cuisine in Miami and San Francisco staple, Limon Rotisserie, the Flying Iguana will be serving up South American fusion plates like Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken, Sweet Corn Tamales Cakes with Smoked Salmon, Habanero Mango Glazed Sword Fish, and Agave Brined Pork Chops, just to name a few. Not your average taqueria, the Flying Iguana will carry over 100 tequilas and mezcals as well as 24 draft beers, which will be served from a "very long bar with beautiful finishes," says Mansur. "It's going to be a restaurant that I will be so proud of when it's all done - we held nothing back on this build out!"
In addition to the impressive interior design, the Flying Iguana will also boast two outdoor seating areas, fully equipped with cooling and heating systems, making the space accessible year round.
The Flying Iguana will be open at 11am every day and stay open until 2am on the weekends and other busy days. The restaurant's Executive Chef, Josh Agan, will feature different specials to run throughout the week as well as a separate Sunday brunch menu. A Grand Opening day has not been released yet
