Open now for 6 months, Seachasers has become the newest hot spot at Jacksonville Beach. This restaurant arrived at the start of the year and was a great addition after the beach lost a few waterside restaurants over the last few years such as The Lighthouse Restaurant, First Street Grill and the most recent restaurant, Nippers. The managers, John and Eileen Messner, and owner Jim Franks made this their 21st restaurant opening. Seachasers' mission statement is sharing love of beach food and fun.

The restaurant itself has 4 rooms; 1 upstairs and 3 downstairs. Each room has its own atmosphere: 1st street bar area faces street side and has a neighborhood bar look, a music room where solo artists and bands can perform while customers eat and enjoy the music, a beach bar that faces the Atlantic Ocean, and upstairs is your dining room where you can have your banquets, rehearsal dinners, or receptions. Overall this restaurant can hold up to at least 300 people.

With such a large-sized restaurant with 4 dining rooms, great food is prepared by Chef Darren Ball. Chef Darren has been around for a long time cooking delicious cuisine in Jacksonville and has even worked at other large restaurants previously before making his way to Seachasers. He fills the kitchen with passion and has put together a great team and staff.

The entrees at Seachasers are well received by their customers. All their food is made from scratch and they offer vegan choices. The menu changes seasonally. The ribs and briskets are smoked, and their sauces are all made from scratch. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11-2pm with bottomless mimosas. Happy Hour is every day from 4-7pm and 10-12am. Monday through Friday, they offer $7 select appetizers from 4-7pm. A dish that is served as an all time favorite is the Seachaser Shrimp. Made of Mayport shrimp, feta cheese, and prosciutto as seen below.

Seachasers has started hosting events such as open mic night on Mondays hosted by Jerricho. Lip-sync competitions on Wednesdays, live bands son Fridays and Saturdays with Chris Thomas Band coming up next Friday, July 29.  Come out and enjoy some delicious food, great music, show the beaches your lip-syncing skills, and share your talent on open mic night.  A recent event that was held at Seachasers was the Jax Beach Summer Luau benefiting Jump4Kids.

Sea chasers is located on 831 First Street North, Jacksonville Beach FL.  Come down to Seachasers with your friends for a fantastic culinary experience!
