Jacksonville is known for its beaches, bars, trails and parks. Lots of natives have been to Hanna Park, which has great camping grounds and Atlantic beach located near the site. The park that many people do not know about for its fishing and swimming holes is Sheffield Park.

This park is about 385 acres with nature trails and several lakes. Sheffield Park is always full of surprises. There are open fields, wooded areas and several lakes. During the summer, guests go to the lake to swim and some go to do scuba diving training. One of the lakes close to the entrance is for people who love to fish or kayak.

During the winter, the lakes and ponds can hold a variety of ducks, mergansers and waders. The nature trails take guests through habitat ripe for other lake fall visitors such as warblers, kinglets, and woodpeckers. This park is the fifth largest regional park in the City of Jacksonville.
