Mavericks at the Landing has had great performers over the past years and this artist really knows how to get the crowd on their feet. On Thursday May 15, Frankie Ballard revisited and headlined this show at Mavericks. The last time Frankie Ballard came to Jacksonville was when he opened up for Rodney Atkins along with Rose Falcon. Frankie Ballard packed the venue and put on a great show for the crowd. This artist is famous for his hit songs “Helluva Life”, “Bunch Of Girls” and “Tell Me You Get Lonely”.

Frankie put out an EP album in 2011 and has now released his full length album this year. He has a country rock sound and is very interactive with his fans. In the middle of his show, he brought a fan up on stage for her birthday and dedicated his song “Sober Me Up” to her. I believe she got her birthday wish that night! Frankie also played a cover of “Ain’t that America” from John Mellencamp. Frankie is an artist that just doesn’t go out there to please his fans, he also wants his fans to be his friends. When he performed his hit song “Helluva Life” his fans sang it back to him and he was blown away by how many people enjoyed his song. His show overall was full of fun and excitement.

Whenever Frankie Ballard is in Jacksonville, I would recommend checking out this performer. Not only will you enjoy his music but you might have a chance to meet him after the show.  Let’s hope he has another album coming out in the next year. I know many would want to hear another full length studio album or EP album.
