2019 Beaches Freedom Festival

This weekend, be ready for Jacksonville Beach’s largest festival of the summer. The Beaches Freedom Fest will return on Saturday July 13, 2019 at the Seawalk Pavilion. It will run from noon till 10pm. Music, food, games, Beer Garden, will be provided at the festival. For local bike riders, there will be free bike valet presented by Velofix located on the North Festival Entrance on 1st Street. 

The Hot Dog eating contest will take place at the Main Stage from 1-4. Ten brave and hungry men and women will be selected to face off to see who can eat the most hot dogs in 10 minutes. The contest will begin at 1pm with Men’s Division, and following the Women’s Division at 2:30pm.

Returning to the Freedom Festival this year will be the Cornhole Tournament sponsored by JAX Fray! The tournament kicks off at 1pm. For a limited time, signup for the tournament is $20 per team and includes a complimentary beer per person plus registration into the tournament. In addition, there will be $500 in cash and prizes plus trophies for the top three teams! Registration is limited to the first 100 teams! If your team is registered for the tournament, please make sure to arrive at the festival between 12pm-1pm to check in at the Jax Fray tent prior to the tournament.

This year’s new VIP will be enhanced with air conditioned bathrooms and complimentary beer and food compliments of Southern Kitchen and Bar. Additionally there will be a massive tent with seating and shade for all attendees to escape the heat and enjoy the festivities.

The following food trucks will be at Freedom Festival: Sweeto Burrito Jax, Delish Kebabs, Son of a Butcher, Twisted Okie, Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen, Rocco’s Pizzatruck, GuanaBana Ice Pops & More, Nitrogen Creamery, Manny’s Cuban Food Truck, CackyLacky’s, Taylor’s Tacos, Rite on Que, Tikiz Shaved Ice, Josie’s Latin Fusion and more.

This year’s music line up will include The Band Be Easy, Let’s Ride Brass Band, Split Tone, Govenors Club, Julia Gulia, and Kapowski.
