The 30th annual Dancin in the Street festival will kick off Saturday, May 21 at 11:00am at the Beaches Town Center, located at the ocean end of Atlantic Boulevard. Events for the one-day festival are scheduled from 11:00am – 9:00pm. For the past thirty years, Dancin in the Street has been attracting event-goers from all over Jacksonville as a result of the festival’s entertainment, food and drink options, Kid Zone, and booth exhibitors.

In addition to a full day of live music, the Kid Zone returns to Dancin in the Street this year! Highlights will include putt putt golf, ferris wheel, bungee run, obstacle challenge course, giant slide, and moonwalk. Face painting will be one of the Kid Zone’s main attractions, as well as the tattoo and crazy hair station, which will feature dozens of colored hair sprays. Wristbands can also be purchased ($14) for endless turns on the six inflatables; all other attractions are pay per play, tickets can be purchased at the front entrance of the Kid Zone: $1 per ticket, or $15/20 tickets.

Food vendors include: Al’s Pizza, Flying Iguana, Noni’s, Ohana Shaved Ice, Mr. Sweet Treats, Joseph’s Pizza, North Beach Bistro, Edith the Peanut Lady, and Famous Amos. Exhibitors from local businesses will line First Street, beginning at Lemon, displaying unique art, eclectic gifts, and consumer awareness campaigns.
