Florida State Faces Alabama In The Chick Fil A Kickoff Game Saturday Night
On Saturday night, No. 1 Alabama will take the field against No. 3 Florida State for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
It will be the first game at the new state-of-the-art stadium and the field is nearly ready for the highly anticipated contest. The end zones are painted and the finishing touches are being put on ahead of tomorrow’s kickoff
Jalen Hurts returns at quarterback and both Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough return in the backfield of what should once again be an elite offense to compliment the best defense in the nation. The Crimson Tide ranked seventh in the nation in total yards with 6,829 and averaged 38.8 points per game as well, good for 16th best in the country.
Florida State had a breakout star in redshirt freshman quarterback Deondre Francois last season. Francois showed poise beyond his age with 3,350 passing yards and 20 touchdown passes in 2016 despite playing in a run-heavy offense. The young quarterback should see an uptick in pass attempts this season, but the Seminoles still figure to be an elite rushing team with a strong backfield and offensive line.
The AP Top 25 Poll and the Coaches Poll both have Alabama ranked at No. 1 and Florida State rank... [Read More]

The Jacksonville Jaguars Starting Quarterback This Season Will Be Blake Bortles.
Just one week after head coach Doug Marrone suggested that the job was up for grabs, the Jaguars starting quarterback competition has reportedly been settled. The man to lead the offense for your 2017-2018 Jacksonville Jaguars will be Blake Bortles. Coach Doug Marrone has picked fourth-year player Blake Bortles over Chad Henne to be the team's starter for the Sept. 10 season opener at Houston, a surprising turnaround for a player whose career with the team seemed to be in jeopardy a week ago.
Coach Marrone gave Chad Henne the start in Jacksonville’s third preseason game, but was apparently unimpressed by Henne’s 8-of-14, 73-yard performance. Bortles was better, connecting on 12 of 16 throws for 125 yards and a touchdown.
Bortles has started the last 45 regular season games for the Jaguars, but a dreadful start to the 2017 preseason following his downturn in 2016 led Doug Marrone to bench him in favor of Chad Henne for the third preseason contest. Henne went 8 of 14 for 73 yards while getting sacked three times with the first-team offense, while Bortles completed 12 of 16 passes for 125 yards, a touchdown and a pick with the subs.
Despite his downturn in production, the Jag... [Read More]

SWITCHFOOT TO PERFROM AT THE ST. AUGUSTINE AMPHITHEATRE SATURDAY, MAY 31, 2014

After gaining a foothold in the contemporary Christian music scene, Switchfoot went mainstream with 2003's The Beautiful Letdown, a double-platinum album that straddled the line between sacred and secular rock music. This album included the hits “Meant to Live” and Dare You to Move.” Switchfoot returned in September 2005 with their fifth album, Nothing Is Sound, which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. Nothing Is Sound went gold, sparked another radio hit in "Stars," and was the first Switchfoot recording to include the work of additional guitarist Andrew Shirley (formerly a member of the contemporary Christian group All Together Separate). Wasting little time, the band returned to the studio with veteran U.K. producer Tim Palmer to begin work on its sixth album, one that found the guys broadening their musical scope. The resulting Oh! Boating In Jacksonville
Jacksonville Fl - Florida has long been recognized as the Sunshine state but it could just as easily be known as the Coastline state. No matter where you live in Florida, you are never very far from the water. Certainly, people have been flocking to Florida for generations to take advantage of the legendary beaches and warm sunshine.
The unanswered question: How many people who live in the Sunshine state fail to take advantage of the abundant, magnificent waterways? The statistics are striking: The Florida coastline, at 1,350 miles, dwarfs the coastline of California, at 840 miles. Of course, when it comes to enjoying Florida’s waterways, the coastline is only part of the story. In addition to numerous lakes and rivers, Florida’s Intercoastal traverses the entire eastern coast. To live in Florida and never go out on boat would be like living in Vermont and never viewing the fall leaves or living in Maine and never eating a lobster. Nothing but a missed opportunity.
When is the last time you enjoyed an afternoon out on Florida’s beautiful waterways? What is stopping you? In many ways, modern technology and improved equipment are revolutionizing boating, making it easier and safer than ever. More women have taken up boa... [Read More]

Putting Safety First Out On The Water
The most enjoyable days out on the water always require a little preparation.
An otherwise perfect day of boating can be quickly short-circuited if you didn’t bring enough food, beverages, or ice. Virtually all recreational boaters are familiar with that punched-in-the-gut feeling of being out on the water and realizing they forgot something essential.
Of course, some forgotten items – like a favorite pair of sunglasses – are simply an annoyance. Others are more serious. Before you begin gathering all your favorite snacks, drinks and assorted boating accessories and toys, be sure to plan for safety first. No amount of fun in the sun is worth taking an unnecessary risk.
Before you begin your day on the water, it is important to know every person who will be on your boat and know for certain that you have a properly fitting life jacket. If you realize at the last moment that you do not, before you rush out to buy one, check to see if a nearby marina is participating in the BoatU.S. Foundation’s “Life Jacket Loaner Program for Kids.” It can save not only time but money.Freedom Boat Club at the Julington Creek Marina 12807 San Jose Blvd is a site for Life Jacket Loaner program. Have You Seen Molly? 9 things everyone should know about the drug Molly
(CNN) -- The drug called Molly isn't what most of its users think it is. If you Google "Molly," many articles say the drug is "pure" MDMA, the active ingredient in Ecstasy.
Users often talk about the "purity" of taking Molly, as if it's somehow better; after all, MDMA was originally developed as a medication to treat depression. But today's Molly is most often not MDMA -- in the last few years, the drug has become a toxic mixture of lab-created chemicals, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Here are nine things everyone should know about this rapidly changing party drug:
1. What is Molly?
Someone who buys or takes Molly now is probably ingesting dangerous synthetic drugs that have not been tested and are produced in widely varying strengths. The DEA says only 13% of the Molly seized in New York state the last four years actually contained any MDMA, and even then it often was mixed with other drugs. The drugs frequently found in Molly are Methylone, MDPV, 4-MEC, 4-MMC, Pentedrone and MePP.
2. What does Molly do?
The lab-created chemicals mimic the effects of MDMA; most of them are central nervous system stimulants that cause euphoric highs. Th... [Read More]
