March 9th Is Deadline For Jaguar Season Ticket Renewal
March 9th is the deadline for Jaguar season ticket renewals. The Jaguars tweeted that this upcoming deadline was due to the high demand for season tickets.
This will be the first season since 2005 that fans will not see any tarps covering seats. The stadium removed the tarps for the Jaguars first home playoff game in 18 years in January, when the team sold out the stadium with an announced attendance of 69,442. Those tarps had been in place for over 10 years.
EverBank Field will also be known as TIAA Bank Field later this year. TIAA Bank Field will be the official name of its home stadium, replacing EverBank Field. The name change comes after the sale of EverBank to TIAA in June and the new parent company will be renaming all EverBank locations as TIAA Bank.
The name change must be officially approved by the city of Jacksonville and the Jaguars before they can tear down the signage on the front of the building and replace it with the new name.
Jacksonville-based EverBank acquired the naming rights to the stadium in 2010, four years after the naming rights deal with Alltel lapsed. (The stadium was known as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in the interim.) In 2014, the company extended its naming rights deal through 20... [Read More]
Seafood Island Bar & Grille Is Now Open In San Marco
The former Pizza Palace, a culinary staple on the Square for 27 years, is now Seafood Island Bar & Grille. You’ll also find a variety of fish and shellfish brought in every three days — most available fried, grilled, blackened or broiled — along with combination platters, soups, sandwiches, pastas and steak and chicken plates. Entrees come in lunch, dinner and “lite” portions, the last resembling a lunch-sized dinner, as well as daily lunch specials. Gluten-free patrons can ask for their fish to be grilled on a separate cooking surface.
Currently Seafood Island is a beer-and-wine establishment in the process of obtaining a full liquor license. Happy hour, 4-7 p.m. daily, features dollar-off deals on beer (five on draft and 10 bottles) and house wi... [Read More]

The 2018 Super Bowl Commercials
The Patriots will face the Eagles in a Super Bowl for a second time this Sunday February 4th and while what happens on the field is of the utmost importance, what happens when the telecast goes to break is a pretty big deal too.
The Super Bowl is not only one of the single biggest sporting event every year, but its massive viewership also makes it one of the biggest marketing opportunities for brands each year. That's why a 30-second television commercial during this year's big game will average over $5 million.
It's no surprise that advertising during the Super Bowl has become somewhat of a competition on its own, since many people who aren't all that interested in the game itself will tune in just for the commercials. Brands will often get the help of celebrities or use other strategies to get people talking about their advertising.
Below are some of the companies and their ad titles that you can expect to see on Super Bowl Sunday.
Bud Light - "The Bud Knight"
Coca-Cola - "The Wonder of Us"
Budweiser - "Stand By You"
Stella Artois - "Taps"

The AFC Overcomes A 17-point Deficit To Stun The NFC In The Pro Bowl 24-23
The steady rain was a factor in the first of four AFC turnovers in the 2018 Pro Bowl, but the AFC rallied for a 24-23 victory over the NFC at Camping World Stadium.
The NFC built a 20-3 lead by halftime, but the AFC made a game out of it by cutting the deficit to three points in the third quarter. With three minutes left in the game, the Derek Carr-quarterback AFC squad trailed by six points and faced a fourth-and-7. Carr hit Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry for a first down. A slant to Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton on the other side of the two-minute warning got the AFC inside the red zone. A dart from Carr to Titans tight end Delanie Walker gave the AFC their first lead of the game with 91 seconds remaining.
The Titans' tight end Delanie Walker took home offensive MVP honors while the Broncos' pass rusher Von Miller won defensive MVP. Walker caught four passes for 29 yards and two scores. Broncos linebacker Von Miller hadthree tackles and a game-sealing strip sack with 36 seconds remaining.
The rain returned in the fourth quarter and Peterson's second interception initially appeared to seal the NFC win. But Carr led a seven-play, 47-yard scoring drive as Rams quarterback Jared Goff, who went 10 of 18 for 86 ... [Read More]

THE ALLIGATOR FARM IN ST. AUGUSTINE CELEBRATES ITS 125TH ANNIVERSARY
The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park this year celebrates its 125th Anniversary. The beloved Northeast Florida destination will mark its century-and-a-quarter birthday with a wide range of celebrations and special events, most notably the opening of a brand-new attraction, Oasis on the Nile.
A History of Crowd-Pleasing and Conservation
The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park was founded in 1893 as a small exhibition of Florida reptiles, and it soon became a quintessential Florida attraction. Charles Usina, who began acquiring additional animals from other alligator farms, zoos, and museums, and by the 1950s, The Alligator Farm had become world famous. In the 1970s, scientists from the University of Florida began research on the premises, and exhibits were improved, with additions including the theater, outdoor amphitheater, and the stunning rookery boardwalk.
Since 1989, The American Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) has extended accreditation to The Alligator Farm, elevating the institution to a select list of zoos, aquariums, and other zoological facilities throughout the nation recognized for the quality and care of their collections.

The last two tigers are a brother/sister pair, Rocky and Adrian. Although they are not related to Haley, they do share the same habitat and love each other dearly. Rocky and Adrian are 20 months old, born on April 28, 2016. Rocky, Adrian, and Haley have already been dubbed “The Three Amigos” by several of the volunteers.
