Fionn MacCools Irish Pub & Restaurant Is Opening In Nocatee
Fionn MacCools Irish Pub & Restaurant, a locally owned authentic Irish pub located on the waterfront in downtown Jacksonville, is opening a second location in Nocatee in mid December.
Fionn MacCools first opened in Jacksonville Beach in 2005, before relocating to a 200-seat waterfront location at the Jacksonville Landing in 2011. The new 150-seat Nocatee location will be opening in December at the Shoppes of St Johns Oaks on 145 Hilden Rd.
Fionn mac Cumhaill or “Finn McCool” is known for being a great warrior in Irish myths. He was the greatest leader of the Fianna, an elite military clan responsible for the protection of the High King of Ireland. Fionn implemented a code of honor into the Fianna; which had a reputation for being somewhat unruly. Another legend includes Fionn as a giant, creating the Giant’s Causeway, a peculiar series of volcanic rock formations along the coast of Ireland. He did this to challenge a Scottish giant to a fight and allow passage from Scotland to Ireland.
Fionn MacCool's brings a bit of Ireland to the Jacksonville area. With their authentic Irish food, live entertainment, and friendly atmosphere, their Irish pub has the recipe you've been looking for.... [Read More]

By moving the PGA to May, it gives the tournament its proper due as a major, making it a centerpiece in the schedule. And by bumping The Players Championship to March, it gives the PGA Tour a strong, six-month stretch without any lulls — for players and fans alike.
“It's great for the golf schedule,” Rory McIlroy said Tuesday. “To now have one really big tournament every month from March — The Players, to the Masters to the PGA Championship to the U.S. Open to the (British) Open, and to have the FedExCup most likely at end of August or start of September.

Devil's Den: A Natural Wonder
Explore one of North America's most prehistoric places, Devil's Den! Devil's Den, a underwater cave and spring in central Florida, was formed by a karst window in which the roof over a subterranean river collapsed, exposing the water to the open surface. Over the years, this natural wonder has been transformed from a simple scuba diving site to a world class tourist attraction.
At the cave, remains of extinct animals from the Pleistocene Age (2 million - 10,000 years ago) have been discovered, including the bones of early man, dating back to 7,500 BC. On cold winter mornings, you can see steam-like smoke rising from the chimney opening. Thus, the early settlers graced the name Devil’s Den.
The spring features crystal clear water, year round 72 degree water temperatures, fossils beds dating back 33 million years plus more! Devil's Den offers scuba diving and snorkeling 7 days a week. They also offer equipment rentals, scuba instruction and night dives with special reservations. All divers must be Open Water certified, sign release, have proper training, and follow rules and regulations.
