The 2018 DONNA Marathon Weekend Returns to Northeast Florida Feb. 9-11
Held annually the second weekend of February, DONNA Marathon Weekend (5k, 10k, Relay, Half Marathon, Marathon, Ultramarathon and Event Challenges) fills the City of Jacksonville and its Beaches in Northeast Florida with over 10,000 runners from all 50 states and 20 countries. Participants enjoy a flat, fast Boston-Qualifying marathon course that takes them through four beautiful beach communities with scenic views and an outpouring of crowd support. Expect water stations nearly every mile, race day temps averaging 55° F, and streets lined with a 26-mile beach block party. And it’s pink. Very pink. There’s a reason this event has been recognized by CNN Travel as one of the “Seven Marathons Worth the Trip” and “Favorite Charity Race” from the readers of Women’s Running Magazine. We are the National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer. Start Training.
DONNA Marathon Weekend is an official event of The DONNA Foundation. The DONNA Foundation, a private non-profit organization in Northeast Florida, provides financial assistance and support nationwide to those living with breast cancer and funds groundbreaking research to finish the disease once and for all. THE BEACH BOYS TO PLAY THE ST. AUGUSTINE AMPHITHEATRE AND TICKETS GO ON SALE FRIDAY
On Sunday, April 15, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre will proudly present pop music legends The Beach Boys live in concert. Tickets for The Beach Boys go on sale this Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m.
You can capsulize most pop music acts by reciting how many hits they’ve had and how many millions of albums they’ve sold. But these conventional measurements fall short when you’re assessing the impact of The Beach Boys. This band has birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions. But its greater significance lies in the fact that it changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt.
The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who along with Jeffrey Foskett, Brian Eichenburger, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill and Scott Totten continue the legacy of the iconic American band. Grammy-winning songwriter Bruce Johnston, joined The Beach Boys in 1965, replacing Glenn Campbell, who filled-in for Brian Wilson, on vocals/bass, when he retired from touring. Highly regarded in his field, Johnston’s vocal work with such legendary artists as Elton John and Pink Floyd firmly established him among rock’s elite artists. Captained by Mike Love, The Beach Boys pla... [Read More]

Little Big Town Coming To St Augustine Amitheatre
St. Augustine, Fla. (April 27, 2015) – The St. Augustine Amphitheatre proudly welcomes contemporary country quartet and 2015 ACM Awards Vocal Group of the Year, Little Big Town, on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m.

From the outset, Little Big Town devoted their sound to harmony and multiple lead vocals, a combination that made the band a hard sell at first. They finally landed a deal at Mercury Records, but it fell through due to disagreements about musical direction. In the wake of the success of the Dixie Chicks, however, Little Big Town were taken up by the Dixie Chicks' label, Monument Records in 2000 and Monument issued the band's debut single, "Don't Waste My Time," in the winter of 2002. The song was on its way up the charts when its accomp... [Read More]
