Jaguars Pre Game Weigh In
Once again, the lackluster play of the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterbacks leaves fans with a gritty and disgusted taste in their mouth. Some feel the team would be better with a certain hometown hero who would love to see him don the black and teal. I disagree. Rusty Smith would probably not make this squad better at the moment. But I digress...
The Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) face off against the Seattle Seahawks (2-0) on the second West Coast game of the season. Jacksonville stayed out in California during the week to avoid making an extra trip and practiced at a local college. The offense as a whole struggled again last week, losing against the Oakland Raiders 19-9, but showed signs of life late in the game when quarterback Chad Henne threw a late touchdown to tight end Allen Reisner in the 4th quarter. Defensively, the Jaguars made enough plays to keep the team in the game, holding the Raiders to 4 field goals and rookie safety Jonathan Cyprien started to look a little more comfortable as he had 3 hard-hitting tackles and forced a 4th quarter fumble, which the Jaguars recovered and turned into points. Looking forward to Seattle, what can we expect from this game? Well, one can only hope that the Jaguars can find a way to play smart football... [Read More]
Jaguars Predictions - Will They Beat Oakland
28-2. Let that score sink in for a bit. Has it resonated with you yet? Good. Now it's time to move on. Last weekend's Chiefs-Jaguars game left a really sour taste in the mouths of most Jaguars fans. But, week one in the NFL has always been considered "Overreaction Week", and thus we should try and push that game out of our collective memories. The Jacksonville Jaguars head to the West Coast to face the Oakland Raiders (0-1) Sunday afternoon. A disappointing 1st loss as head coach Gus Bradley looks for a much better performance than what was put out last week at home. The Jaguars will have a new quarterback at the helm in Chad Henne, as Blaine Gabbert suffered a laceration during the game with the Chiefs and needed stitches on his throwing hand. Also ruled out is guard Will Rackley, as his knee issue is still causing issues, and rookie cornerback Dwayne Gratz as he suffered an ankle injury in Sunday's game. The Oakland Raiders are starting Terrelle Pryor again at quarterback, after his performance last week (19-29, 219 yards passing, 1 TD; 13 carries, 112 yards) kept the Raiders in the game against the Indianapolis Colts. The Raiders lack a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, but Pryor does provide a spark that the team desperately needs. So what do the J... [Read More]
Sports Update - Jaguars Game Tomorrow
Jacksonville Fl - The Jacksonville Jaguars open up the 2013 regular season at home against the Kansas City Chiefs. It's been a long and interesting off-season for the Jaguars. Out with old GM Gene Smith and Head Coach Mike Mularkey, and in with a new regime with GM Dave Caldwell and first-time head coach Gus Bradley. This team has overhauled its roster, change its philosophy, and has made it through training camp. Now the real games begin. The Jaguars' opponents, the Kansas City Chiefs, have undergone some major changes as well. New Head Coach Andy Reid is at the helm and he mad e the move to trade for San Francisco 49'ers QB Alex Smith, who is their immediate future. With a team that appears to be loaded with talent on the defensive side of the ball and a dangerous running back in Jamal Charles, it appears the Jaguars have an uphill battle. As a fan, it's tough to think that your team is really as bad as it is. And the Jaguars have a lot to do to see long-term success, but I feel that if the Jags can do these three things on Sunday afternoon, the team and the fans will walk out with a win. Offense- Jaguars need a minimum of 325 yards of offense. Blaine Gabbert appears to be the starter coming into thi... [Read More]

Gator Country Fall Concert Series Recap
Jacksonville, FL (November 19) From November 5 to November 16, the Jacksonville Fair arrived and provided fair-goers many shows during the two weeks. The Gator Country Concert Series also came onto the scene. It all started on Thursday November 6 with Thompson Square to kick off the concert. They opened their show with their hit song “I Got You” and performed with excellence and energy. They played their best songs such as “Let’s Fight”, ”I Can’t Outrun You”, “Glass”, “If I Didn’t Have You”, and “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not”. I found their show great and a great start to the concert series.
The next day was not what was expected. With a cold front coming in, many people didn’t show up to see Lindsay Ell. She is a new upcoming country artist from Canada, and was an awesome guitar player. I do wish for more female guitar pickers, and this was something new for Jacksonville. Her performance was great, and she can rock out on a guitar. Her songs that got her on country radio are “Shut Me Up”, and “Trippin on Us”. I hope she comes back when the weather is better so everybody can see how awesome she is.
The second... [Read More]
